Nu Wave Swim is a fresh new approach to celebrating swimwear in Miami. For four days in July, Nu Wave Swim will offer an experiential multi-day platform and hub for designers to showcase their latest swim collection. Nu Wave Swim will transform the Miami Beach Botanical Garden into the new epicenter of Swim Week —supporting the most coveted emerging and established swim brands. Nu Wave Swim will re-imagine the Swim Week experience, producing high energy fashion events, activities and runway shows.
Nu Wave Swim will create a tropical oasis at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden from July 11th to July 14th that will house a variety of wellness activations, runway shows, fashion presentations, cocktail parties and after-parties.
By hosting at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden and implementing a plastic-free initiative, Nu Wave Swim has chosen an enchanting venue to debut its deep commitment to conservation and sustainability. The gorgeous green space boasts layers of flowering trees and plants, an urban oasis created by award winning landscape architect, Ramond Jungles.
Bar Bevy will take over the garden’s Banyan Room for its VIP lounge where guests will sip on specialty cocktails while waiting for the next show. DJs, designers, celebrities and media will join throughout the weekend.
All on-site food and beverage will be led by Homecookin’ Hospitality, the masterminds behind Drunken Dragon and Rácket. Specialty pop-up bars will feature hand-crafted cocktails featuring Maker’s Mark®, Cruzan® Rum, Courvoisier® Cognac and The House of Suntory®: Suntory Whisky Toki™, Haku® Vodka and Roku® Gin. Premium bubbles by Provocativo, rosé by Chateau d’Esclans and ice-cold beer by Heineken Light and Heineken 0.0.
Wellness activations will feature programming by the renowned spiritual fitness center Sacred Space, and cult-favorite, Barry’s Bootcamp. Soho Beach House will host a Fashion for Breakfast on-site at the garden on Saturday, July 13th with swimwear designer panelists Amahlia Stevens (Vitamin A), Tori Praver, Parke Lutter (Parke & Ronen), Red Carter and Rod Beattie.
Headlining brands that will present their newest collections at Nu Wave Swim include Bleu Rod Beattie, Charmosa, Gottex, Parke & Ronen, Red Carter, Revival, Tori Praver and Vitamin A. Nu Wave Swim will close Miami Swim Week with a multi-designer runway show on Sunday, July 14th. Additional activations and shows will feature young, emerging designers, providing a format to formally showcase their collection and attract new audiences.
Nu Wave Swim’s dedication to ocean preservation will be shared throughout the week. Guests will enjoy plastic-free alternatives on-site, spreading Nu Wave’s passion for clean coastlines. To strengthen and establish its position in aiding ocean preservation, Nu Wave Swim is collaborating with Facebook and Instagram to create custom content to promote and drive awareness to MiamiWaterKeeper to advocate for swimmable, drinkable and fishable water for all.
